Friends of Juneau Community Charter School (JCCS) exists to strengthen and sustain the unique educational experience JCCS provides by bridging the gap between vision and available resources. We are committed to reducing financial and administrative barriers that can limit innovation within the public school system.
Through targeted fundraising, volunteer support, and community partnerships, we supplement the efforts of the district by providing funding and manpower for programs, projects, and opportunities that would otherwise be constrained by budget limitations or regulatory processes. Our goal is to ensure that high-quality, enriching educational experiences remain accessible to all JCCS students.
We invest in initiatives that distinguish JCCS from traditional neighborhood schools—supporting creative, community-connected learning opportunities that reflect the school’s values and mission. This includes funding projects the district cannot support, enhancing existing programs, and enabling new ones that expand what is possible for students and educators alike.
In addition, Friends of JCCS is dedicated to building a sustainable legacy fund to support the school’s long-term growth and resilience. This fund will serve as a resource for future needs such as grade expansion, scholarships, program innovation, and unforeseen challenges.
By mobilizing community support and resources, Friends of JCCS ensures that the school continues to thrive, evolve, and offer an exceptional, differentiated educational experience for years to come.
